This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to information supplied by you on this Site.

  • The information which you provide on this Site may be transferred within the Group which may include transfer to other entities in the Group in Singapore and other jurisdictions; and

You have the right to obtain access about your personal data from Us. This includes confirming whether We are processing or have processed your personal data, receiving a summary of the personal data being processed, and knowing the identities of all Companies/ Organizations to whom your personal data has been disclosed.

You have the right to correct your personal data, as per the applicable laws and prescribed procedures. When you request correction, We shall correct any inaccurate or misleading data, complete any incomplete data, update your data and send the corrected data to all organisations to whom your personal data was disclosed.

9. Marketing & Promotions  


By providing your personal data you agree that Bata may contact you by mail, telephone, facsimile or email. However, if you indicate with your submission of information that you do not wish to receive any promotional material from Bata, we will not send any promotional material to you. 


10. How long We retain Your Personal Data for  


The periods for which We keep your Personal Data depends on the purpose for which your Personal Data was collected. Data containing information provided by you is retained for as long as the purpose for which the data was collected continues. The data is then destroyed unless its retention is required to satisfy legal, regulatory or accounting requirements or to protect Bata's interests, in compliance with relevant regulations.

In order to do this, you can review, update, change or modify your personal data including billing and shipping information by logging into your account on Bata Website. We can assist you to access and correct your personal data held by us. Where you wish to have access to your personal data in Bata’s possession, or where you are of the opinion that such personal data held by us is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or where irrelevant, not up to date, you may make a request to us via Bata Website. We will use reasonable efforts to comply with your request to access or correct your personal 

information within reasonable time or as mandated by law. Please note that Bata may have to withhold access to your personal data in certain situations, for example when we are unable to confirm your identity or where information requested for is of a confidential commercial nature or in the event, we receive repeated requests for the same information. Nevertheless, we will notify you of the reasons for not being able to accede to your request. 

 

14. International Transfer of your Personal Data 


We may transfer and process any personal data you provide to us to countries other than your country of residence. The laws of these countries may not provide an equivalent level of protection to your personal data as the laws in your home country. In the event a breach of security leading to accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data, we shall promptly assess the impact and once assessed that it is a notifiable data breach, we shall report this breach within 3 calendar days to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). We will notify you when the data breach is likely to result in significant harm to you after our notification to PDPC. We may also notify other relevant regulatory agencies, where required.

This Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Singapore law including without limitation, the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act, 2012, Evidence Act (Cap. 97 of Singapore) and the Electronic Transactions Act (Cap. 88 of Singapore), without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
