With great splendour and solemnity, Bata Chile inaugurated its University of Service.
April 2010, DUOC Auditorium, Santiago. Bata Chile, represented by its General Manager, Mr. Luis Ernesto Rojas, HR Director Bata Brands, Mr. Davide Zornetta and HR Manager Bata Chile, Mr. Christian Gilchrist, gave the kick off to this great company project.
The objective of this University is to generate a professional development track for Bata Chile employees, who will now have access to first class training at first class institutions.
The University of Service is part of a huge three-year project being developed by the HR Department, consisting of the following stages: installation, maturation and consolidation of the HR functions.
This University comes as part of the organizational development function, with the mission of generating internal talent, by way of improving employees competencies like leadership, supervision, planning, conflict resolution, negotiation, etc.
Employees will get credits for each course approved. And internal promotions will be linked to the completion of these courses. Each person will control his or her own professional career, their time and accomplishments.
The agreement signed with the sponsoring institutions ensures the quality and commitment of all interested parties.
