School children enjoying their new computers.

Continuing with the objectives and the activities of the Bata Children´s Program, Bata Bolivia (Manaco S.A.) donated 15 computers to the Thomas Bata School in order to improve the skills and develop knowledge of the children in the school.

This kind of donation will continue in the future, installing more computers and also giving the children the opportunity to obtain a computer technician's degree. In that regard, Mrs. Yuva Rocha - Principal of the school and Mrs. Rocio Julio – Bata Children´s Program Regional Coordinator (Latam) – agreed to have a syllabus that allows the students to learn computer assembly, computer repair and also to handle computer programs, in order to have a better foundation for their future and perhaps pursue an informatics career.

The donation also includes internet access in the computer room so children can have access to information from around the world and learn about the latest innovations that occur. Currently there are more than 300 children attending the school and they will all benefit immensely from this donation.
